2025 isn't over until we get a new Ulver record, dammit!

Ulver has just announced their new album Neverland for digital release on December 31, 2025 and for physical release on February 27, 2026, and you can check out the first single "Weeping Stone" right now. It drops all the pop sensibilities of the last few Ulver records, and instead goes full on ambient. Personally, I love it. But I also love this type of music, so there's that.

Neverland was recorded by Ulver's Kristoffer Rygg and Ole Alexander Halstensgård at Lupercal Studio, mixed by Anders Møller at Subsonic Society, mastered by Vegard Sleipnes at Reel to Reel Mastering, and given artwork and a layout by Paschalis Zervas.

On the new record, Ulver explained: "With Neverland, we embraced a more 'punk' spirit – more dreaming, less discipline – freer, quite simply." So less The Assassination Of Julius Caesar and more Perdition City. I'm in. Pre-orders for Neverland are available here.
