Foo Fighters have dropped "Your Favorite Toy," the titular first single from their upcoming 12th full-length studio album. The track marks the band's first new music of 2026 and signals a bold sonic shift while remaining unmistakably Foo Fighters.

Band mastermind Dave Grohl described the song as a creative breakthrough for the band: "'Your Favorite Toy' really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year… It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new."

The album Your Favorite Toy arrives April 24 via Roswell Records/RCA Records. It was recorded at home and co-produced by the band and Oliver Roman, engineered by Roman and mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent.

Your Favorite Toy runs as follows:

  1. "Caught In The Echo"
  2. "Of All People"
  3. "Window"
  4. "Your Favorite Toy"
  5. "If You Only Knew"
  6. "Spit Shine"
  7. "Unconditional"
  8. "Child Actor"
  9. "Amen, Caveman"
  10. "Asking For A Friend"

The album follows last year's "Asking For A Friend" and builds anticipation for the band's massive "Take Cover" world tour. The trek launches June 10 at Unity Arena in Oslo, following U.S. festival headline appearances at Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa Valley. Foo Fighters' current lineup features Grohl alongside Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin.
