Clutch is celebrating a decade of Psychic Warfare on October 2 with a deluxe anniversary edition pressed on purple smoke vinyl, available exclusively through ClutchMerch.com. It's the definitive spin on the band's twelfth studio album, a record that gave us fan favorites like "X-Ray Visions," "Firebirds!" and "A Quick Death In Texas." An earlier retail edition on blue smoke vinyl, dropped August 29, vanished in a flash.
Frontman Neil Fallon reflected on the record's origins in the Texas Hill Country: "We recorded Psychic Warfare in Dripping Springs with Machine. It was a fun album to put together, but it was an intense experience. I think 'A Quick Death in Texas' summarizes that time nicely."
Not content with one reissue, Clutch also dropped a fully remastered Blast Tyrant in late August. The 16-track overhaul breathes fresh life into the 2004 classic, complete with a new acoustic take on "The Regulator."
Guitarist Tim Sult explained, "The acoustic version of 'The Regulator' came together very quickly and naturally. We changed the key from D to E, changed up the musical theme, but kept the same dark vibe of the original." Fans can dive even deeper with the digital-only companion release Blast Tyrant: Basket of Eggs, featuring demos, b-sides, and acoustic cuts all polished up for 2025.
To top it all off, Clutch will spend the winter storming Europe and the UK on the Fortune Tellers Make a Killing Nowadays Tour. With support from Greek riff merchants 1000Mods and Norwegian punks Bokassa, the run kicks off in Copenhagen on November 24 and wraps up at London's Roundhouse on December 20. Demand has already forced upgrades, with the Berlin show on December 3 moving to Huxleys Neue Welt. Tickets are available here.
