Rising indigenous black metal force Blackbraid is now streaming their powerful new single "The Dying Breath of a Sacred Stag" alongside an epic music video crafted by Wolf Mountain Production. The track is featured on the forthcoming album Blackbraid III, set for independent release on August 8, 2025. Blackbraid III is available to pre-order here.
Ahead of the album's official drop, fans will have the unique opportunity to experience Blackbraid III in full during an exclusive listening session at Fire in the Mountains Festival, held between July 25 and 27 in Montana's Red Eagle Campground on the Blackfeet Nation Reserve. The event will feature a live Q&A with Blackbraid and Metal Injection's Frank Godla.
Blackbraid is hitting the road this September and October in support of Blackbraid III. The tour features Lamp of Murmuur and Dödsrit as the openers, with Gudsforladt trading spots with Lamp of Murmuur on the Canadian dates. The tour kicks off on September 18 at Brick By Brick in San Diego, CA and wraps up on October 11 at 1720 in Los Angeles, CA. Get your tickets here.
