Magnetic Eye Records are turning their attention to one of industrial metal's most iconic forces — Nine Inch Nails. The label has announced the next two entries in their acclaimed Redux Series will celebrate Trent Reznor's groundbreaking work, including a full reimagining of Nine Inch Nails' 4x platinum 1994 landmark The Downward Spiral and a companion compilation spotlighting tracks from across the band's storied career.

Both albums are already deep in production, with recording completed and a tentative November 2025 release in the works. A Kickstarter campaign is just about to wrap up later today as a type of pre-order, which you can check out the Kickstarter here. The full track list and participating artists are:

In their announcement, Magnetic Eye put the project into cultural context: "If you've followed this label for any amount of time, you're likely familiar with previous Redux projects offering tribute to icons as diverse as Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden, Jethro Tull and Alice In Chains with stunning renditions by the likes of Mark Lanegan, The Sword, Matt Pike and the Melvins.

"At a moment when the world's reliance on machines, algorithms and artificial intelligence has never been greater, join us in reflecting on the emergence of a musical force whose blend of mechanized instrumentation and raw emotion was singular and revolutionary."

The Downward Spiral Redux and Best of NIN Redux will feature 27 reimagined tracks spread across two double albums, tackling both classics and deep cuts. Magnetic Eye frames the project as a tribute to Reznor's restless vision — one that pushed back against the polished veneer of the mainstream and laid bare the unease simmering beneath the surface of 1990s culture.

For Nine Inch Nails fans, this promises to be a sprawling, multi-artist celebration of one of rock's most uncompromising catalogs. Plus y'know, a fresh lens on songs that have been part of the alternative and industrial landscape for over three decades.
